Wait for a price drop,
This game is very short. It keeps a timer on your gameplay (not to penalize you, just keeping track). I’m not a particularly fast player; I’m frequently amazed at how quickly other Amazon customer reviewers report that they completed a game. However, since this game does keep track of your elapsed game play time, I can say that I finished it in just under 4 hours.
It is a mix of hidden object and puzzles. I enjoy the genre–one of my faves. The game was fun, but at the same price as the Professor Layton games, it was a poor value for the amount of gameplay involved.
Get it secondhand, or wait for the price to drop.

|It’s okay.,
I always look forward to mystery games & rarely do I get disappointed. This game having taken so long in coming out seemed to be lacking on many levels. Although I do not like to have the mystery solved for me or the clues spoonfed to me, this game for the most part left a player totally in the dark on any real kind of direction to go. Here’s hoping the next one (if it comes out) is better.

|This game is horrible,
I am a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, but this game is absolutely horrible. The puzzles are unsolvable without a walkthrough. There are no direction given whatsoever on how to solve the puzzles or what the point of each puzzle is. The comparison to Professor Layton is ridiculous. Professor Layton puzzles make sense and have the direction on what each puzzle is and what needs to be done to solve it. This game just gives you the puzzles with no directions or instructions at all. Don’t waste your money or time on this game.
