Ion Development is a family-owned business that seeks to encourage children to develop and maintain their natural interest in science and mathematics. Observing our own daughter and her preschool classmates confirmed our belief that children love to explore the world around them. However, studies show that most U.S. school children begin to lose interest in science by 8th grade and upon graduating from high school only a small fraction of U.S. school children pursue science and math related majors in college and even fewer ultimately pursue science and math related careers.
