Cute but not really sure how to use it!,
This sand set is really cute, but it’s really hard to use! The cookie cutters are open on the top, so you have to shake the sand off around them without turning them over like a normal sand mold. It is nearly impossible to pick the cookies up (in the mold or out) with the spatula without messing them up. The bag also does not hold all of the pieces. It’s a cute idea but not very practical for any young child — or adult in my case!

|Baking at the beach!,
I purchased the Sunny Patch cupcake, cookie and ice cream sets for a recent beach vacation. My 3 and 5 year old daughters loved them! Each set has some great playthings and some that didn’t get much use.
The most used toys in the cookie set were the cookie sheet, sprinkle can and the plates. Our sand desserts were too crumbly to be picked up by the spatula and the cookie cutters didn’t grab my daughters’ attention. But that could be simply a matter of having too many choices amongst the three sets. I didn’t bring the rolling pin, because I figured the spatula could be used to flatten sand if needed.
Overall, these toys are well made and durable and will be enjoyed by my girls for many years.

|We love this set!,
My 3-year-old daughter and I play with this set in our backyard all the time. We love it. The sand does need to be a little damp, but the spatula and cookie sheet make quick work of “cookies” or “pancakes” or whatever she decides to make. She does need a little help with scooping them up, but we smoosh the cookie cutter into the sand, move it to a plate, and then take off the cookie cutter.
I’m not sure about the purpose of the rolling pin, but my daughter thinks it’s great. She rolls sand all over.
I think my daughter’s favorite part of the whole set is the sprinkling can. She sprinkles sand on all of her goodies.
